Clockwork Companion

Here's a piece of art for the bonus scene in the upcoming SFK1:Galaxy Edition, in which I have a dream sequence featuring my friend November as a robotic plaything in a Victorian steampunk setting. This is the cover of the box she comes in. I had to look at about a thousand Victorian era advertisements to get a sense of the style (and then figure out how to convey important story material through old-timey ad copy).

I'm really pleased with how it turned out! I rarely get to do any typography projects but I had a lot of fun with it. Anybody who's been wanting to see more of my friend November, well... there's a LOT coming up - incidentally there's no Drosselmeyer in the story, Novie made the suggestion while I was working on it and it seemed apt (Drosselmeyer was the creator of The Nutcracker in the famous ballet... maybe Novie is also a nutcracker O_o).
